Report: Westbrook shooting free throws at Thunder practice
Hey, here's some good news, Thunder fans:
Russell Westbrook was back on the court Thursday. Well, kind of.
The all-star guard, who missed all but two games of the playoffs last season, was shooting free throws during a portion of the Thunder practice in Oklahoma City, according to The Oklahoman.
Westbrook underwent surgery during the playoffs a season ago. He was expected to be back from the meniscus tear by the time the season started, but suffered some additional swelling in the knee when a stitch came loose during the recovery process. Westbrook underwent a second surgery and is expected to miss about four-to-six weeks of the regular season.
But there he was Thursday shooting free throws without a brace and without any extra assistance.
Hey, it's something, right?
