Tony Parker is in the clear, for now.
An MRI on the San Antonio Spurs guard's right knee showed no significant damage after Parker injured it, for the second time, in France's national team exhibition to Spain Monday.
The national team tweeted a statement from Parker from its account (@FRABasketball) in which the Parker expressed no panic for his ongoing knee struggles and said he plans to continue to play. (Credit to San Antonio News' Dan McCarthy and Google for the translation.)
"I am not worried, I'll be 100 percent for the Euro. I approach the competition with confidence. After the MRI this morning I follow proper care It does not affect the next game preparation," the statement read.
Though no one mention what injury Parker does indeed have, team director Patrick Beesley tweeted it was "nothing serious."
Spurs fans may be breathing easier for the time being, but that relief won't last for long as the EuroBasketball 2013 tournament kicks off next week and last through most of September.
