Report links Lakers to Tyreke Evans

According to a report in the Sacramento Bee, the Sacramento Kings are "willing to listen" to offers for guard Tyreke Evans.

The Lakers are listed among the teams who might have interest.

"The Memphis Grizzlies, who are aggressively attempting to shed payroll and are shopping small forward Rudy Gay, have made inquiries. The Lakers and Denver Nuggets have long been intrigued. So have the Boston Celtics," read the report.

It's unclear whom the Lakers would need to give up to Sacramento should Evans truly be put on the trading block.

There's a question of the health of Evans' left knee, a nagging issue that has bothered him throughout most of the season. At his best, Evans is an athletic 6-foot-6 playmaker. While he's not a true point guard, he averaged 5.8 assists a game in 2009-10 when he was Rookie of the Year.  Evans is also a strong rebounder at his position but a poor 3-point shooter (25.8 percent career).

Evans is in the final year of his contract, earning $5.3 million. He'll be a restricted free agent over the summer if his team makes the qualifying offer of $6.9 million.
