Rangers Live 1-hour pregame show set for Opening Day

Coverage of American League Banner Ceremony Highlights Season Opener; 126 Games Scheduled To Be Televised on FOX Sports Southwest in 2012Ā  Ā 

FOX Sports Southwest will televise a special one-hour pregame show on Friday, April 7 at noon CT before the two-time American League defending champion Texas Rangers open the 2012 season against the Chicago White Sox at 1:00 p.m. CT from Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Rangers Live will include coverage of the American League championship banner ceremony, other pregame festivities, and interviews with Rangers CEO and President Nolan Ryan, Rangers manager Ron Washington and Rangers players.

John Rhadigan will host the pregame show from FOX Sports Southwest's new Rangers Live studio set located in the new Captain Morgan Club in center field. Dana Larson, Emily Jones and Jim Knox will contribute reports from the field where 13 members of the first Rangers team from 1972 will be part of the first pitch ceremony to celebrate the club's 40th anniversary in Texas.

After a B-1 Bomber fly over by the 7th Bomb Wing of Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas following the National Anthem, FOX Sports Southwest will televise the first of 126 Rangers games scheduled this season on the regional sports network.

Dave Barnett (play-by-play) and Tom Grieve (analyst) return to call the games with Knox serving as a roving reporter on home games. Former Rangers infielder Mark McLemore is back as the analyst on Rangers Live pregame and postgame shows. He'll be paired with Rhadigan, Jones and Larson.

To commemorate the Rangers' 40th anniversary in Texas, FOX Sports Southwest will show video Flashbacks of the 40 greatest moments in Texas Rangers history throughout the season on Rangers Live and on game broadcasts.

FOX Sports Southwest's Rangers coverage also includes Rangers Insider, a weekly 30-minute magazine show, and Lunch With The Rangers, a midday series featuring one-hour condensed game replays from the previous day. Ā 

Rangers fans also can follow the team on FOX Sports Southwest's local website. FOXSportsSouthwest.com features a dedicated Rangers page offering the latest team news by Rangers correspondent Anthony Andro, original video, postgame reports from announcers, and social media elements, including integration with Facebook and Twitter.
