Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra has posted another workout at the Fair Grounds as the 4-year-old filly prepares for her first start of 2010 in next month's New Orleans Ladies.
Rachel Alexandra worked six furlongs in 1:14.00 over a fast main track Wednesday with regular exercise rider Dominic Terry aboard.
Trainer Steve Asmussen called the workout ``ideal.'' Rachel's previous workout was five furlongs in 1:00 1/5 on Feb. 18.
The New Orleans Ladies is March 13 and will serve as a prep for Rachel's greatly anticipated showdown against the unbeaten mare Zenyatta in the $5 million Apple Blossom at Oaklawn Park on April 9.

Rachel was 8-0 in '09, including victories against males in the Preakness, the Haskell and the Woodward.
