Thanksgiving break went by way too fast but it was a successful holiday. I ate way too much food and got to spend time with all of my family and friends, and to top it off we won our Thanksgiving Tournament. A special shout out to Tiffany Clark and Jasmine Lee for having an outstanding tournament and making the all-tournament team. Hannah Tuomi earned the MVP of the tournament and I could not think of a more deserving recipient. She works extremely hard and is a great example to her teammates and aspiring young basketball players. Now it is back to school. We only have two weeks left until finals. I cannot believe how fast this semester has gone. Now with season really getting started the time continues to fly. Between classes, practice, traveling, and games there is not much free time, but it is my favorite time of the year (mostly because of the basketball part).
After our big win against Princeton, Rebecca decided to buy Christmas decorations for our dorm. Becca absolutely is obsessed with Christmas but not for the presents (which really took me a while to understand). Our living room now has lights around the ceiling and a mini Christmas tree. As much as I give Beccs a hard time about her decorating skills, it really makes everyone in our suite feel a little closer to home. During the holidays it is sometimes hard to be away from your family so it is nice to be able to lean on your closest friends to fill part of the void. I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving and thank you for the support for those of you who were able to attend our tournament games this weekend. I truly cannot begin to explain how much that means to all of us. Go 'Dores!
