Panthers reassign Alex Petrovic, Vincent Trocheck to AHL

The Florida Panthers have reassigned defenseman Alex Petrovic and forward Vincent Trocheck to San Antonio (AHL), the team announced Monday.

Petrovic, 23, recorded three assists and 34 penalty minutes in 33 games for the Panthers after being recalled on Jan. 28. A second-round pick, 36th overall, of Florida in the 2010 NHL Draft, he has notched three goals and 16 assists in 39 games for the Rampage this season.

Trocheck, 21, registered seven goals and 15 assists in 50 contests with Florida as a rookie this season. A third-round pick, 64th overall, of the Panthers in the 2011 draft, he has recorded six goals and 11 assists in 21 games for San Antonio this season.

With three games remaining in their regular season, the Rampage currently sit in second place in the AHL's Western Conference and have already punched their playoff ticket.
