Packers name Policy VP and general counsel

The Packers have named Ed Policy vice president and general counsel, according to a release.
An attorney with significant sports experience, Policy's background includes work with the Arena Football League as well as the NFL.
"We are excited to have Ed Policy become a member of the Green Bay Packers," said Green Bay President/CEO Mark Murphy in a statement. "The NFL is an increasingly complex business with many legal aspects, and Ed's impressive skills and diverse experience will be very valuable to the Packers.
"He's a great addition to our senior staff," Murphy added, "and will allow us to continue to build upon our success."
"I very much appreciate the opportunity to join the Green Bay Packers," noted Policy, whose experience includes nine years (2001-09) with the Arena Football League, including a period (2008-09) in which he served as commissioner, president and CEO.
Murphy also announced that Paul Baniel, Packers vice president of finance since 2009, is taking on additional duties as vice president of administration for the organization.
