Packers activate S Sean Richardson, DT Jerel Worthy
The Packers made a couple of roster moves the day before hosting the rival Minnesota Vikings.
Green Bay activated safety Sean Richardson and defensive tackle Jerel Worthy from the reserve/physically unable to perform list and placed cornerbacks Casey Hayward and James Nixon on injured reserve.
Worthy was Green Bay's second-round pick (No. 51 overall) in 2012 and had 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks before suffering a knee injury in Week 17.
Richardson played just five games in 2012, but was a key special teams contributor. He had four tackles in 2012 before suffering a herniated disk. Richardson underwent single-fusion neck surgery in January.
Hayward, also a 2012 second-round pick, finished third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting last season after posting 53 tackles an six interceptions. He had eight tackles in three games in 2013.
Nixon, an undrafted free agent, was with the Cardinals in the preseason before being signed to the Packers practice squad Sept. 22. He played in three games for Green Bay this season with no tackles.
