Pacers release Damien Wilkins

The Damien Wilkins experiment is over with the Indiana Pacers.

On Sunday, the Pacers announced they have requested waivers on the 37-year-old forward.

Wilkins played in 19 games, starting one, and averaged 1.7 points per game with the Pacers this season.

After a four-season NBA hiatus, Wilkins reconnected with coach Nate McMillan and joined the Pacers in the offseason. He's spent 10 seasons in the NBA.
