Pacers recall Whittington, send Christmas back to Mad Ants

The Indiana Pacers continued to shuffle a pair of big men back and forth between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne heading into tonight's game in Brooklyn.
The Pacers recalled center Shayne Whittington from the Mad Ants of the NBA's Development League on Wednesday morning. A day earlier, they had sent forward Rakeem Christmas back to Fort Wayne.
Both players have had brief spells with the Pacers this season but have spent most of their time in the D-League.
Whittington, 24, has averaged 12.0 points and 8.1 rebounds in 21 games with the Mad Ants. The 6-foot-11, 245-pounder has played in three Pacers games this season, averaging 1.3 points, after playing in 20 games with the Pacers as a rookie a year ago.
Christmas, also 24, has yet to see the floor in a regular-season Pacers game. The 6-9, 239-pound rookie has played in 26 games with Fort Wayne, averaging 15.5 points and 7.6 rebounds.
