Pac-12 releases schedule, finalizing Arizona's slate
With a loaded nonconference schedule already in place, Arizona basketball learned how the remainder of its 2013-14 season will shape up Friday with the release of the Pac-12's conference slate.
Following an early-season stretch that includes the NIT Season Tip-Off and a road game at national runner-up Michigan, Arizona will open conference play at home with games against Washington and Washington State on Jan. 2 and Jan. 4, respectively.
Overall, the Wildcats play five of their first seven conference games at home, as after visiting UCLA on Jan. 9 and USC on Jan. 11, they return home to take on Arizona State on Jan. 18, Colorado on Jan. 23 and Utah on Jan. 25.
The middle portion of the Pac-12 slate includes a Northern California trip to Stanford on Jan. 30 and Cal on Feb. 1, then a brief homestand against Oregon on Feb. 6 and Oregon State on Feb. 8.
And in a reverse of the early portion of the conference schedule, Arizona finishes with five of its last seven games on the road. The Cats visit Arizona State on Feb. 14, Utah on Feb. 20 and Colorado on Feb. 22, a stretch of three straight road games. They then return home to play Cal on Feb. 27 and Stanford on March 1 before finishing the regular season at Oregon State on March 6 and at Oregon on March 8.
The Pac-12 tournament opens March 12 in Las Vegas.
