NEW YORK (AP) Our Amazing Rose improved to 2 for 2 with a comeback victory on Monday in the $62,000 allowance feature for 3-year-old fillies at Aqueduct.
Sidelined by a bout of colic after impressively winning her debut at Saratoga last July, Our Amazing Rose needed a strong finish to edge past the pacesetting Killaday by three quarters of a length.
John Velazquez was aboard for trainer Todd Pletcher as the 2-5 favorite ran the six furlongs in 1:11.50 on the fast track.
Our Amazing Rose paid $2.80, $2.10 and $2.10. Killaday returned $2.90 and $2.70 while Gem City Gal paid $7.20 to show.
