Ohio State defensive tackle Joey Bosa leads a strong Ohio representation on the Athlon Sports Freshman All-American Team.

Bosa was a first-team pick, while Toledo running back Kareem Hunt, Cincinnati center Deyshawn Bond, Ohio State punter Cameron Johnston and Ohio State's Dontre Wilson (all-purpose player) earned second-team honors.

Bosa had 39 tackles, 6.5 sacks and led the Buckeyes with six quarterback hurries.

Hunt rushed for 866 yards and six touchdowns on 137 carries this season. His average of 6.3 yards per carry was second among Mid-American Conference running backs, trailing only teammate David Fluellen.

Hunt stepped in for Fluellen when the senior suffered an injury late in the season, gaining over 100 yards in five different games, including a 186-yard effort in a 51-41 win over Buffalo last month.

Johnston is a native Australian playing his first year of football. Bond is a redshirt freshman from Indianapolis, while Wilson earned immediate playing time at Ohio State in the backfield and contributed in the return game.
