Travis Ford can sleep easy this week, as it two highly sought after basketball recruits signed letters of intent with his program.
LeBryan Nash and Karron Johnson have both signed with Oklahoma State.
Nash, a 6-6, 220-pound forward from Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas, is ranked by Scout.com as the 11th best prospect in the class of 2011. As a junior, Nash led his team with 17.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
He also visited and received offers from Kansas and Baylor. In the end, Oklahoma State seemed to best-fit Nash.
"It is such a beautiful campus and the fan support is unreal," said Nash. "Everywhere I went the students knew who I was."
Another standout that will be joining Nash in the class of 2011 is Karron Johnson.
The 6-8, 225-pound power forward is committing to Oklahoma State for the second time. He committed to Oklahoma State coming out of high school in 2009 but was forced to play at Midland College due to academic ineligibility.
He was the 72nd ranked player coming out of high school in 2009 by Scout.com.
Johnson backed out of his verbal commitment with OSU as he was heavily recruited by Bob Huggins and leaning towards West Virginia. He also received offers from Cincinnati and Iowa State before recommitting to the Cowboys.
The Sporting News has named Johnson the Preseason National Junior College Player of the Year.
Both Nash and Johnson are to sign their letters of intent in Stillwater this week.
