Ohio State plans "Skull Session" for basketball

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Fans are invited to join the Ohio State men's basketball program, including head coach Thad Matta and several former Buckeyes at a pre-game Skull Session and Fan Fest Nov. 9 before the Buckeyes’ noon tip vs. Morgan State in Value City Arena.

"Saturday is Gameday" will feature numerous fan fest activities, including an open house of the new practice facility. Men’s basketball All-American and Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Scoonie Penn will serve as master of ceremonies. Matta and the Buckeyes will be on hand to welcome and thank fans on the VCA floor at 10:05 a.m. Soon after, the Ohio State Athletic Band will perform.


All tickets include admission to both the pregame event and the game. Fans can purchase tickets in advance at the official website of Ohio State Athletics, OhioStateBuckeyes.com. Tickets also will be available for purchase at the door. On game day, individual tickets will be available starting at $10 each and a family four pack will be $20. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the event will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

Throughout the Schottenstein Center concourse and at the practice facility, fans will have opportunities to take pictures with men's basketball alumni, who will be available to sign autographs, as well as take photos with the Big Ten Conference trophy and shoot some hoops in the new gym.

97.1 The Fan also will broadcast live from the Schottenstein Center.

Other family friendly events include the IMG Buckeye Mobile Tour with inflatables, face painting, a balloon artist and more than 2,000 Buckeye Beads will be given away.
