According to a report from Tim May in the Columbus Dispatch, Ohio Stadium will be growing very soon.
A proposal to add 2,500 seats in the south end zone of the stadium has been made, and will be taken up the university trustees next week. The ramps in the southern corners of the stadium would be the focus of the additions.
Upon approval, capacity at Ohio Stadium would grow to 104,829. The largest crowd ever to witness a game in The Shoe was 106,102 in October of last year. Ohio State beat Nebraska under the lights, 63-38.
The Show was originally built in 1922 and had a capacity of 66,210. This addition would mark the 17th time that an expansion has been made.
