O'Brien, Payne late injury doubts for Ireland vs Wallabies

DUBLIN (AP) Ireland flanker Sean O'Brien and center Jared Payne are still expected to face the Wallabies after skipping the captain's run on Friday at Lansdowne Road.

Both had ''lower limb tweaks'' that weren't considered serious, and their fitness will be assessed on Saturday morning, assistant coach Andy Farrell said.

''Just lower limb tweaks. That's what normally happens during a week; you pick things up along the way and are still recovering from the game, etc.,'' Farrell said.

''We'll have a discussion in the morning to give them that extra little bit of time to regenerate themselves.''

Munster's Peter O'Mahony and Rory Scannell remained with the Ireland squad as potential injury cover, and were at the captain's run.
