Oakland cruises past Southern U. 105-53

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (AP) -- Will Hudson and Keith Benson posted double-doubles as Oakland, Mich., routed Southern U. 105-53 on Friday in the Chicago Invitational Challenge.
Each player scored 19 points, and Hudson had 14 rebounds and Benson 13. Reggie Hamilton added 18 points and seven assists, Travis Bader scored 17 and Drew Valentine had 11 for the Golden Grizzlies (2-3), who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Blake Sanford scored 17 points to pace the Jaguars (1-6), who lost their fourth in a row.
Oakland had a 55-25 rebounding advantage and hit 10 of 28 3-pointers (35.7 percent).
The Grizzlies led 50-24 at the break and scored the first four points of the second half to increase the gap to 30. The lead passed 50 when Bader's 3-pointer made it 96-45 with 4:20 to go.
Hamilton's two free throws with 2:11 left allowed Oakland to reach 100 points.
