Norway's Mikko Kokslien wins Nordic combined event
LILLEHAMMER, Norway (AP) Norway's Mikko Kokslien won the men's World Cup Nordic combined individual Gundersen event Sunday, beating Germany's Fabian Riessle by 0.3 seconds.
Jason Lamy Chappuis of France, who was in second place after the ski jumping round, finished third in the 10-kilometer race. Germany's Tino Edelmann was fourth followed by defending overall champion, Eric Frenzel of Germany, who had the day's longest jump of 136.5 meters.
Japan's Yoshito Watabe, who won the ski jumping round, finished ninth.
Riessle leads the World Cup standings with 200 points. Frenzel has 153 and Kokslien's victory brought him into third spot with 136 points, six ahead of Germany's Johannes Rydzek. Austria's Bernhard Gruber has 120 points, one more than Watabe in sixth place.
