ATLANTA -- Florida State's defense put on a performance that would have made the 1990s players proud.

There was Greg Reid's bone-jarring hit on South Carolina's Marcus Lattimore, which knocked the star running back out of the game.

There were three first-half interceptions of Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia, who had one of the worst games of his career.

There was Reid again stripping the ball after an Alshon Jeffery catch in the third quarter.

FSU needed every one of the five turnovers it forced to defeat South Carolina 26-17 on a night when Christian Ponder was knocked out of the game with a concussion and FSU's passing game was nearly non-existent for much of the game.

But the Seminoles won the game with defense, and won their 10th game of the season
