AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton put his arm and footwork on display for NFL teams once again.
Newton threw 50-plus passes to receivers at Auburn's pro day on Tuesday before dozens of pro scouts, coaches and executives. He says he wasn't happy with his performance at the NFL combine and was determined to "focus on the things I did not do well" in Indianapolis.
That means passes like deep routes, out and comeback patterns -- and being more consistent
NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock says Newton's performance "was way better than the combine," including the type throws that he didn't have to make much in Auburn's spread offense.
