Nate Burleson scores a year's worth of free pizza

By Sid Saraf, FOXSports.com Nate Burleson and pizza have had a checkered history as of late. If you remember, the Lions wide receiver was driving home with a couple pies in late September when one of the boxes slid off the seat. Burleson went in for the save, but lost control of his car and crashed. The result? A broken arm that has kept him out of action since. BUT ... This story has led to at least one positive result: DiGiorno, the company that sells the frozen pizzas which are the boon of college kids and late-night stoners everywhere, has stepped to the plate. DiGiorno has provided Burleson with a year's worth of free pizzas. And they even threw in a free pizza cutter! Burleson shared the gift on Instagram:

The note read: “Hello Nate,We hope you are feeling better after your recent car accident and are on the road to recovery! DiGiorno Pizza understands the challenges that come with carryout and delivery so we’re sending you a gift along with a year supply of DiGiorno pizza so you can skip carryout.” OK, shameless self-promotion aside, that's a decent thing for the company to do. Imagine having a year of free pizza and you never have to leave your house to satisfy the post-midnight munchies. That's good stuff. Mmmmm, pizza. (H/T to USA Today for the story) Questions?
