MMA fighter awkwardly tries to take down opponent at weigh-in

There are several ways to get fans excited for a fight … this is probably not one of them.
While some fighters take the Conor McGregor approach to getting under their opponent’s skin, others attempt to draw interest by physically engaging their foe even before they step into the cage together.
EFC 52 competitor Jadyson Costa tried the latter at Thursday’s weigh-in and failed miserably when he shot for a single-leg takedown against opponent Don Madge. He even attempted to sweep Madge when his initial attack was thwarted.

Camps from both fighters stepped in to pull the pair of lightweights apart, ending the weigh-in on an incredibly awkward note.
