Minnesota Timberwolves fan gives away ticket for free - on a telephone pole

Usually fliers on a telephone pole are ads for an apartment, a sign for a missing dog or cat, or a yard sale.

But a free ticket to an NBA game?

That's what happened on one such pole in the Minneapolis area Thursday, as someone found a unique way to get rid of a ticket to the Minnesota Timberwolves home opener:

The T-wolves aren't expected to do well this season. Considering parking/transportation, a drink or two at the game, and maybe some food, does this really seem like a good deal? (Hey, there are cheerleaders at the game!)

The photo was posted on Reddit by user SmoothWay. We don't know if this is actually legit because sometimes fake things appear on the Internet (I know, I know ... you're shocked!), but I hope it's real because it's great.

Turns out the T-wolves won! They beat the Detroit Pistons 97-91, behind Thaddeus Young's 19 points. Watch him discuss the win in the video below.

Hopefully, someone enjoyed the freebie.
