Megatron expected to start for Lions
DETROIT -- Receiver Calvin Johnson is active and expected to start for the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon against the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field.
Johnson, listed as questionable on the official injury report for the second straight week, has been hampered by an ankle injury.
LaAdrian Waddle also is active and will return to the starting lineup at right tackle for the first time since suffering a calf injury early in the opening game.
The Lions, however, will be without running backs Joique Bell (concussion) and Theo Riddick (hamstring).
As a result, George Winn, a Southfield (Mich.) native who played in college at Cincinnati, is active for the first time in his career.
Reggie Bush will take on an expanded role with Bell and Riddick out, but Winn should get some playing time, too.
