For the male readers of this piece, ages 21-49 ... if you ever shared a household bathroom with a sister (or sisters), this article may drudge back some loathsome memories of childhood.

Remember magazines like Tiger Beat, Teen Beat or Sassy, where pre-teen, "tween" or teen-aged girls were flogged with endless photographs and fold-out posters of Michael Jackson, Kirk Cameron, Leif Garrett, John Stamos, Tom Cruise, Ralph Macchio, Jordan Knight, Matt Dillon, Rick Schroeder, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Jason Bateman, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe — or any other young star from the 1980s and 90s?

And do you recall the amount of space these magazines took up in the shared bathrooms, often pitting brother vs. sister?

Well, Seventeen magazine, perhaps the most decorated publication celebrating the trials and tribulations of being a teenager, has once again melded the worlds of sports and pop-culture idolatry — in the form of a 25-piece slideshow chronicling "The Hottest College Football Players!"

Just like the lead singer from 1970s, '80s and '90s rock bands, the quarterback position garners most of the love in this unofficial countdown — most notably Alabama's AJ McCarron (No. 1), Syracuse's Drew Allen (No. 3), Ohio State's Braxton Miller (No. 6), Georgia's Aaron Murray (No. 7) and, of course, reigning Heisman winner Johnny Manziel (No. 10).

But in a mild surprise, a kicker and punter actually make their way onto the list.

If you can get past the OMG-style captions for each player, or the absence of any definitive criteria for what makes UCLA's Brett Hundley "hotter" than BYU's Cody Hoffman ... it's an amusing read.

And if anything, it might hearken you back to the time (think mid-80s) your sister could be found sitting in the corner of her bedroom ... openly sobbing to the lyrics of Supertramp's "It's Raining Again," coinciding with the breakup of her boyfriend.
