Marlins rookies get into character for trip to New York
With Halloween just around the corner, 12 Miami Marlins rookies dressed up for the trip from Philadelphia to New York City Sunday night with costumes chosen by the club's veterans.

Christian Yelich (nurse), Justin Bour (Red Riding Hood), J.T. Realmuto (ice queen), Ed Lucas and Sam Dyson (Oktoberfest), Andrew Heaney (Robin), Kike Hernandez (cop), Jarred Cosart (French maid), Anthony DeSclafani (cop), Marcell Ozuna (leopard), Brad Hand (Alice) and major league administrative coach Pat Shine (bear costume) posed for photos before leaving Citizens Bank Park.
In recent years, the Marlins dressed as the Clevelander girls (2013) and the U.S. Olympic water polo team (2012) for the final long roadtrip of the season.
After three games in New York against the Mets, the Marlins will return to Miami for a seven-game homestand against the Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies before closing 2014 in Washington.
