Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel gave his more than 600,000 followers a present on his 21st birthday.

He returned to Twitter.

Manziel, who went silent on the social media site Aug. 1 when allegations of him selling his signatures for money broke, came back to Twitter about 2 a.m. Friday morning.

The Heisman Trophy winner retweeted a couple of birthday wishes around 2 a.m. and then posted his own tweet around 4 a.m. Manziel turned 21 Friday.

What to make of his tweet is up for interpretation.

Manziel, who won't play again until the Texas A&M bowl game, has had an interesting time on Twitter. He's posted tweets of himself with celebrities at concerts and various sporting events. He drew the ire of Aggieland over the summer with a tweet complaining about his life in College Station after receiving a parking ticket. He later deleted that tweet.

Some of Manziel's other highlights on Twitter include advertising his court-side seats to NBA games.

And, best of all, arguing with random people on Twitter.

Despite going dark on Twitter, Manziel still has more than 628,000 followers.
