Magic add four assistant coaches to fill out Scott Skiles' staff

The Orlando Magic announced Friday the hiring of four assistant coaches to complete the staff of Scott Skiles, who was named their new head coach four weeks ago.
The most recognizable name of the four is Mario Elie, whose 11-year NBA playing career included the time when he and the Houston Rockets swept the Magic in the 1995 Finals. Since retiring, Elie has spent nine seasons as an assistant, most recently with the Brooklyn Nets in 2011-13.
Joining Elie on Skiles' staff are Adrian Griffin, Monte Mathis and Conner Henry. The Magic had reportedly reached an agreement more than a week ago with Griffin, who spent the last five seasons as an assistant with the Chicago Bulls. Mathis spent the last four years as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Mavericks, while Henry was the head coach of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League and led them to the league championship in 2014.
The Magic also announced both Laron Profit and Jay Hernandez will remain as assistant coaches in charge of player development, the same roles they had last season under Jacque Vaughn and James Borrego.
