The list is growing, and Les Miles joined the group on Tuesday.

Mark Dantonio, Chip Kelly, Jimbo Fisher, James Franklin, Todd Graham, Jim Harbaugh, Jim Mora and Gus Malzahn have all been asked about their interest in the Texas football head coaching job and shrugged off the questions with talk of focusing on their current job or explicit denials of interest.

Nick Saban is the group's patriarch after agreeing to an extension with Alabama on Friday, but LSU's coach has no interest in his name getting a churn or two through the rumor mill.

"Oh please, let's not kick my name around," Miles told reporters, according to the Baton Rouge/New Orleans Advocate.

Texas coach Mack Brown resigned on Saturday and will coach the Longhorns for the final time on Dec. 30 against Oregon in the Alamo Bowl.

Will Texas have a coach by then? And could it be one of those men who say they're not interested?

Longhorns athletic director Steve Patterson will make the hire, and will be expected to have one of those candidates singing a different tune before long.
