At least one Lohan is having a good week.

A thoroughbred racehorse named Lohan cruised to victory Thursday afternoon in the ninth race at Tampa Bay Downs. The 4-year-old filly took the winner's share of the $20,000 purse in a race for fillies and mares that had never won a race before.

The 2.8-1 favorite, Lohan returned $7.60 to bettors who gambled she would fare better than her namesake this week.

The better-known Lohan, actress Lindsay Lohan, spent part of Wednesday in a Los Angeles courtroom, charged with a felony count of grand theft. She pleaded not guilty and was released on $40,000 bail. She is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store.

Making her third lifetime start, the equine Lohan sped to an early lead in a 1-1/16 mile race and then held off a charging Dixie Stamp by one length. Leandro Goncalves was the winning jockey, and Thomas Proctor was the winning trainer. Lohan's winning time was 1 minute, 47.2 seconds.
