ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions placed linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba on injured reserve Saturday and signed offensive tackle Tony Ugoh to fill the roster spot.

The Indianapolis Colts put Ugoh on the waived-injured list in September after once touting him as their left tackle of the future. Ugoh was demoted from starter to backup during training camp in 2009. The Colts traded up to take him with the 42nd overall pick in 2007 and he started 11 games as a rookie and 12 times the next year.

Ekejiuba was listed as questionable with a knee injury for Sunday's game at home against the Green Bay Packers. He was in nine games this season after signing with the Lions. Ekejiuba played for the Oakland Raiders the previous five years.
