Love is in the air for the stars of the Detroit Lions.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford is getting married this spring and now his favorite target, receiver Calvin Johnson, is engaged.
Mrs. Megatron will be Brittany McNorton, the promotions manager for the Lions.
Johnson popped the question while the couple was on a recent trip in Baltimore. McNorton, who was celebrating a birthday at the time, confirmed that she accepted the proposal in an interview with the Baltimore Sun.
The newspaper's website posted a video of its exchange with both Johnson and McNorton.
"I thought it might be coming, but I was totally surprised," McNorton said of the proposal, which took place in Baltimore's Inner Harbor area.
Asked about the news, Johnson said, laughing, "I don't know what she's talking about."
He added, more seriously, that it had been a "memorable trip ... for many reasons."
