CINCINNATI --- Xavier University Associate Athletic Director Brian Hicks announced today that Lindsay Patterson has joined the game day staff for men’s basketball, serving as XU’s first-ever NBA-style game host. “It’s another way that we can enhance the fan experience,” said Hicks. “We thought of Lindsay immediately when we decided to pursue this idea. She has a passion for local sports and is a familiar personality with much of our fan base as well.”

Patterson, who has three years of varied experience in broadcasting, is one of the busiest and increasingly visible members of the local media. She works as the afternoon radio producer for Mo Egger and Lance McAlister on ESPN 1530 and works withCincinnati.com on the new Bengals show "Beyond The Stripes" on Tuesday nights. In addition, she works at WKRC-TV as production assistant in the sports department. Her broadcasting background also includes her work as a reporter for the Cincinnati Cyclones ECHL team and, in the Fall, as a sideline reporter for Ohio High School football on Time Warner Cable.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me. I'm a huge Cincinnati sports fan and I've been a Bengals fan since the day I was born,” said Patterson. “My goal is to be an NFL sideline reporter one day.”

Patterson, a native of Sabina, Ohio, is a 2010 graduate of Wilmington College with a bachelor’s degree in communications arts with a concentration in public relations. She began her media career as an intern at Clear Channel Radio, working with the promotions director and the staff in the sports department.
