It might be tough for LeBron James to get a season sweep since he will rest for some games down the stretch. But, for now, he's been perfect.
The Miami Heat star on Friday won his fifth NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month Award in five months. He became the first player in NBA history to receive the honor for five straight months during a single season.
In winning the award for March, James averaged 25.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 17 games, missing the final one due to a hamstring strain. The Heat went 17-1 in March, becoming the first team in NBA history to win 17 games in one month.
March included the Heat winning their final 15 games of a 27-game winning streak. That's the second-longest in NBA history.
Named Western Conference Player of the Month for March was Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant.
It might be tough for James to win the award for April. He already has missed the first two games of the month because of the hamstring injury and he'll likely miss some more during the month due to Heat coach Erik Spoelstra resting players for the postseason.
