Lakers fan drains half-court shot to win $95K, will use prize to see Kobe's finale

A Los Angeles Lakers fan turned a trip to Staples Center into a serious payday Sunday by sinking a half-court shot to win $95,000.

The fan, a lifelong Lakers supporter named David Moya, used the pretty traditional two-handed heave approach and got a lot of legs under it. The shot barely kissed the back of the rim:

According to beat writer Mike Trudell, Moya will use a portion of the proceeds to see Kobe Bryant's final game which, barring a pretty miraculous resurgence by Los Angeles, will occur April 13.

At least things are going better these days for the Lakers (winners of three straight) than the Suns, who have dropped nine in a row and scored an impossibly low 22 points in the first half* on Sunday.
