
'Lady Valor' Kristin Beck talks fighting, defending with Brendan and Bryan
This week, Fighter and The Kid podcast co-hosts Brendan Schaub and Bryan Callen sit down with a brave and elite warrior Christopher Beck, who is the subject of a new documentary, Lady Valor, available through Netflix. Beck served the U.S. military as a member of the Navy SEALs.
In 2011, Beck retired with the rank of Senior Chief. Throughout his years of anti-terrorism work, Beck also had to fight to keep his real idenity a secret.
In 2013, came out publicly and declared that she would now live her life as Kristin Beck. Though a component of Beck's identity may have changed, she tells Brendan and Bryan that so much is the same as it always has been, as she looks to a congressional bid.
"I was not born to be anything else," she says.
"To be a fighter, to be a defender...I've always been a sheep dog, and I'm going to kill the wolf. Man or woman, I'm a sheep dog."
