Kristaps Porzingis has become a huge fan favorite in New York.
In a new interview with GQ, he talks about how he won over the fans after getting booed harshly on draft night.
However, the real highlight of the chat was the rookie center explaining how he used movies to learn English.

Porzingis relied on three films to help him learn the language.
Porzingis also talked about rocking cornrows as a kid.
"That was my swag at that time," he said. "It was Iverson. It was Carmelo. I started watching NBA basketball at the time, and when you're a kid, you want to be like those guys."
Porzingis won Melo's favor after telling him about his Anthony and A.I.-inspired cornrows https://t.co/ZDUsR2XK58 pic.twitter.com/gLFik2XCIh
