Due to a highly improbable result after Jason Kipnis crushed the ball to left field, the Indians went from cutting a deficit to having the runners stop in their tracks.
Trailing 3-1 and with a chance to chip away at Chicago's lead, Kipnis hit a laser to the bleachers that should have bounced off the wall and scored a run--but the wall actually swallowed the hit.
.@TheJK_Kid ball gets stuck in the left-field wall, literally. He gets himself a ground-rule double for @Indians. pic.twitter.com/7ZDME2LC6E

The ruling was a ground rule double, and Kipnis and Rajai Davis were held on second and third base.
Luckily for the Tribe, Francisco Lindor would deliver with a single the next at-bat.
