After leading the Bearcats to a share of the American Athletic Conference regular season men's basketball championship, Sean Kilpatrick was named UC Male Athlete of the Year.

Kilpatrick, a senior guard from Yonkers, N.Y., led the AAC in scoring (20.6 points per game) and three-point field goals per game (2.74) en route to earning a spot on multiple All-America first teams. He finished his career with 2,145 points, second only in Cincinnati history to NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson.

The Bearcats went 27-7 on the year and qualified for the NCAA tournament but bowed out in the first round to 12th-seeded Harvard.

Kenya Woodall, a sophomore sprinter from Coatesville, Pa., was named the UC Female Athlete of the Year. She set Bearcat records in both the indoor and outdoor 400-meter runs.
