Kevin Durant takes on Sonic Drive-In Guys to promote slushes

Kevin Durant's season was cut short due to injury, but it appears he's getting closer to returning to original form.

At least in these commercials anyway.

Durant is a "brand ambassador" with Sonic, and with that title comes the power of creating slushes. Sonic announced Friday via Business Wire the fast-food joint will be selling two signature slushes named in honor of the Oklahoma City Thunder star.

With products to sell, commercials are sure to follow.

Durant filmed these two spots taking on the the Sonic commercial regulars, "Two Guys".

The first involves him playing one-on-one-on-one.

The second involves Durant performing a different type of dunk.

More about the slushes: One is dubbed "The All-Star" made of blue raspberry and Nerds candy. The second is called "The Game Changer" made with lemon, strawberries and Nerds.

"The best part of being a brand ambassador with Sonic has been having a role in product creation, including my signature Slush flavors," said Durant a the release. "The All-Star and The Game Changer are both great â€“ keep an eye out later this summer for another surprise flavor."

Kevin Durant is slowly becoming the Peyton Manning of the NBA —€” by which I mean taking over your television one commercial at a time.
