Kenya's Chumba wins Tokyo Marathon in record time

TOKYO (AP) Dickson Chumba of Kenya won the Tokyo Marathon on Sunday in a race record time of 2 hours, 5 minutes, 42 seconds.
Chumba also broke his own personal best of 2:05:46, which he clocked at the 2012 Eindhoven Marathon.
Tadese Tola of Ethiopia was second in 2:05:57, followed by Kenyan Sammy Kitwara in 2:06:30.
Tirfi Tsegaye of Ethiopia won the women's race with a time 2:22:23, also a race record. Ethiopia's Berhane Dibaba finished second in 2:22:30 and Kenya's Lucy Kabuu was third in 2:24:16.

Over 36,000 runners took part in the eighth staging of the event, one of the six world marathon majors, along with Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York.
