Kate Osborne to join FOX Sports San Diego broadcast team

San Diego - FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) today welcomes Kate Osborne to their distinguished team of broadcast talent as the new host of the network's weekly Padres show, Padres POV. Additionally, Osborne will assume the occasional role of sideline reporter for FOX Sports San Diego's Padres telecasts.

Most recently, Osborne was the host of NBC Sports Network's show Rally America National Championship Series, a trackside reporter for ESPN, as well as a sideline and feature reporter for the Columbus Blue Jackets. In addition, she has produced and hosted web content for X Games/Global Rallycross and has also created, hosted and produced her own radio show affiliated with Global Rallycross. Osborne graduated from Indiana University, just outside of her hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana, with a degree in Sports Communication and Broadcast.

Osborne will be joining FOX Sports San Diego's veteran team of on-air talent, including Hall of Fame broadcaster and Padres play-by-play announcer Dick Enberg, former Padres pitcher and color commentator for the Padres since 1997 Mark Grant, Padres Live hosts, Mike Pomeranz and former Padres pinch hitter Mark Sweeney, as well as FOX Sports San Diego's new Padres sideline reporter Kris Budden.

The first episode of Padres POV in the 2014 season will feature Osborne as host and will debut Friday, April 4th at 8:00 PM PST following Padres Live postgame show.
