IRVING, Texas — Jerry Jones doesn't expect quarterback Tony Romo to participate in next week's minicamp.
The Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager divulged that information following Tuesday's organized team activities at Valley Ranch.
"We're probably going to be real conservative there and it's probably unlikely," Jones said. "I know I said probably unlikely but it's still probably unlikely that he'll be in minicamp."
It was revealed May 21 that Romo would be out at least three weeks while he recovers from surgery to remove a cyst from his back.
During OTAs, Romo has been limited to standing behind the line of scrimmage and instructing players off to the side.
Cowboys minicamp is scheduled June 11-13.
"There's nothing I don't know about [Romo's condition]," Jones said. "He's coming along great. He's going to be ready to go and have his strength and conditioning in great shape and, of course, he's spending all kinds of time looking at tape and doing the kinds of things that he wants to be doing to get ready for the season."
