Jamal Crawford not chosen for All-Star game

Jamal Crawford, the Clippers super-sub guard, was not picked as a reserve for the NBA All-Star game in Houston Feb. 17.

NBA head coaches selected 14 reserves for the East and West teams. Crawford, in his 13th NBA season, has never made an All-Star team but was thought to have a good chance to be selected.

Instead, the All-Star reserves named Thursday to the Western Conference team are: Tim Duncan and Tony Parker (from San Antonio); Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City), James Harden (Houston), Zach Randolph (Memphis), LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland) and David Lee (Golden State).

This is Duncan’s 14th All-Star team. It’s the first selection for Harden.

The reserves for the Eastern Conference team are: Chris Bosh (Miami), Tyson Chandler (New York), Joakim Noah (Chicago), Paul George (Indiana), Luol Deng (Chicago), Jrue Holiday (Philadelphia) and Kyrie Irving (Cleveland).

This is the first All-Star team for Chandler, Noah, George, Holiday and Irving.
