Storm Johnson, the running back from UCF who was drafted in the seventh round by the Jacksonville Jaguars, became the second of the nine players chosen by them to sign.

Johnson, a college teammate the past two years of Jaguars first-round pick Blake Bortles, had five 100-yard rushing games as a junior while leading the All-American Athletic Conference in rushing touchdowns with 14. He also caught 30 passes from Bortles for 260 yards and three TDs.

Johnson joins center Luke Bowanko, a sixth-round selection out of Virginia, as rookies who have signed with the Jaguars since being drafted less than two weeks ago. Johnson is expected to compete with free-agent pickup Toby Gerhart and Jordan Todman for playing time at the spot held the past five years by Maurice Jones-Drew.
