Jackets activate Huselius; Assign Mayorov

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Kristian Huselius off injured reserve and assigned right wing Maksim Mayorov to the Springfield Falcons, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced today.
 
Huselius, 32, has missed the last 20 games due to an injury suffered at Chicago on February 18. He has registered 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points and eight penalty minutes in 35 games this season. He has collected 188-261-449 and 252 penalty minutes in 656 career games with Florida, Calgary and Columbus.
 
Mayorov, 22, scored the first goal of his NHL career against Chicago on Friday and scored the game-deciding shootout goal against Florida on March 29. He has appeared in 12 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, including three in 2008-09 and four in 2009-10. The Andizhan, Russia native was the Blue Jackets’ fifth pick, 94th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft. He has registered 52-42-94 and 70 penalty minutes in 210 career AHL games with the Falcons and Syracuse Crunch since the start of the 2008-09 season. This year, he has tallied 18-13-31 and 16 penalty minutes in 65 games with Springfield.
