By Ross Jones, FOXSports.com The suspense if finally over. Robert Griffin III will start against the Philadelphia Eagles, head coach Mike Shanahan announced Monday. Just in case you weren’t aware, the Redskins quarterback has been rehabbing from a torn ACL which he suffered in the NFC divisional round game against the Seahawks last January. Griffin has been adamant that he’d be ready for Week 1 and the announcement is a mere formality. Nevertheless, it’s stunning how quickly Griffin has recovered from such a devastating injury. Last week, Griffin was cleared by team doctor James Andrews, but reportedly the surgeon had some concerns about how the Redskins will utilize the dual-threat quarterback. Shanahan said that he addressed those concerns with Andrews and Griffin, but wouldn’t specify exactly what those were to the media saying, “You’ll have to trust us.” Questions? Comments?
