Indians recall Tyler Holt to fill roster spot
The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster move relative to the Major League club:
Recalled OF TYLER HOLT (#13) from Triple-A Columbus.
Holt, 26, has spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Columbus where he has hit .286 (79-for-276) with 11 doubles, 3 triples, 24 RBI, 42 runs scored and 20 stolen bases in 76 games, appearing at all three outfield positions (23 LF, 27 CF, 18 RF). Holt is currently 8th in the International League in on-base percentage (.369) and 10th in steals (20) and over his last 12 games since July 10 he is batting .304 (14-46) with 8 runs and 5 RBI. He was on was on the disabled list at Columbus from June 2-13 with a strained left hamstring. He assumes the vacated spot of OF David Murphy, who was traded to the LA Angels last night.
